It really is hilarious to see Skuljagger suddenly keel over on getting hit by anything!
Whoa... it actually does become Halloweeny when they teleport to a hellish place with lizardmen and skull faces everywhere. I guess it was a bonus stage, though bonus stages are usually joyful and happy, not scary as heck!

SUPER MARIO MAKER PART 135 - SICK FOREHEAD PUZZLES

Ah that is nice that the doors tell you where they lead :)
Another cool puzzle :) Not sure why it was called what it was though. Who or what was throwing up? The springy doughnut thingies?
They solve it and move on to "Use Your Forehead" by Pink Birdo.
Hmmm... This one all depends on lightly pushing the POW block to different rails so it can move around.
Poor Arin with his voice... Danny's all ready to have dinner too.
Oh man... I love the "ohhhhhHHHH??!?! OOhhhhh?!?!!" moments they have when they come up with a possible theory. :)
It's really compelling and cosy to watch! Love Grump stuff like this :)
Arin solves it and enjoys his victory a little too much! I assume Danny happily grabs some dinner after this. It all worked so well and the food probably tasted extra good after this.

It's back! I know it's only been gone for two days but that's two days too long! Actually no I'm easy going about it, just very happy to see it back :)
Barry and Ross are at the next sanctuary with a big mushroom on Splot's head. Right in front of the boss too so... this is going to be very tricky!
And tricky it is! Due to the mushroom on top of Splot's head, he gets all confused and helps out the enemy and hits Pallf and Dick. Yikes!
They eventually make it though. Yay! Pulling through :)
Maybe it's a spear-mint leaf :P
Yeah in Smash you get special bonus points for using Mr. Saturns.

Is this the first game where Simon Belmont was depicted as a beautiful long red haired rockstar of a man? They actually kept this design for him since. There was a chibi version in Track & Field for DS and kind of a J-pop boybander version of him in Judgement.

Lots of careful eggshell walking going on here. They get to the spiked helmet part and get stuck for a while again. I wasn't sure myself. Danny's right. It is cerebral! But you're like... "of course!" when you figure it out.

So they gotta enter a house full of pterodactyls. I love Danny's joke here :) it turns out they have a nest in the attic with an Arpagos Egg in it. Looks important.
Seriously though, mightn't they be able to progress because of the dirty disc thing? Also, GameStop's disc protection thing wasn't invented yet! Shucks!

SUPER MARIO MAKER PART 133 - SINGLE SCREEN PUZZLES

Arin and Danny explain what that millisecond lasting sound at the beginning was. Arin talks about the time Symmetra's voice actress came into the office to visit. She's his favourite character from Overwatch and she said she likes Game Grumps! Yays all around!

Hmm some Irish roads are a bit like those, but they're getting better.
That 4 second thing Arin was doing... I highly doubt it would be that hard.
However, they figure out the stage slowly but surely and it's really cool to see their eureka moments! :) Bit of a cliffhanger too as they figure out the finer details! It's looking good!

They talk about the newspaper comic Family Circus. I like newspaper comics but I never really got into this one.
It takes them a while to get used to the controls and all the cartoon craziness that goes on in this game. They share sports stories from when they had to play sports as kids.

It's a nice sketch where they're working and they have fake googly eyes to make it look like they have eye problems, but then they fall off when the try the Gunnar glasses! Woo! Arin provides a voiceover and there's a special Game Grumps logo deal tied to this! Yay! Arin is telling the truth though, he has been wearing those glasses for a long time now. "marathon Grumps like never before!" is a nice pitch :)
Arin and Danny make short work of the crab thanks to the power sword! They argue over whether they're going to finish the game or not. I kinda hope they do :)

GRUMP'S DREAM COURSE PART 21 - I DREAMU OF AISUKURIMU, GETTIN' STAHTED

Arin and Danny start the next huge level that looks like something out of Marble Madness!
Ah that was a nice little happy face after landing :)
Danny tries to protect his star but Arin goes after it anyway! Even after the truce is called too!

EARTHBOUND PART 19 - CLEANING UP THE POOP FACTORY

Barry and Ross explore the poop factory further.
Of course you can turn off auto-fight... they get into that nightmarish situation where they have a status effect where their accuracy takes a hit and enemies keep summoning more cohorts! It takes ages to get through it while Barry cries out in Arin-like despair!
Barry talks about the time he visited a brewery.
They face Master Belch, who looks very much like Muk in the thumbnail! They defeat him handily. Barry gives him a belchy blobby voice and the following Mr Saturn a high pitched Gollum like voice. He's handy enough at the voice acting!
Yay, the coffee scene is here! Barry asks if Ross is sure he wants to have some before sipping. Nice of him! Barry then reads out the text crawl that happens during the lovely scene. Ross is like "okay..." but he rides it out. It's fun sharing this with them :) The first few times I played this it was awesome but kind of lonely. It's nice that Ross is here, even if he isn't that enthused by all the text.
By they way, did they know you can play the game with two controllers? Might be a laugh :)

Ross appears before the video with a rockin' beard, doing a beardy montage until he gets tired of having one. Suzy comes along and offers a solution and then this cute dog magically appears! The dog (in its own language) talks about an offer for Dollar Shave Club and it solves all of Ross' problems... plus now he has a cute dog to cuddle with! Whose dog is this?
Arin and Danny aren't able to pronounce the game title without having a coughing fit.
Oh man, those lanterns don't last too long at all... Poor Arin has an awful time in the dark house with all the spear throwers and bats!
At least there's a good reward at the end of the house, the Power Sword! It shoots beams like in the regular Zelda games, but also only if you have full health. Nice bonus though! Arin deserves something after all that hassle...

OMG all those spiky pits... It's truly a Ross tribute with it's sadism!
The next hole reminds them of the phonebook ripping moment with Lester from Beakman's World. :)
Yikes... deceptively nice at the start but then it goes insane... that's kind of Ross level design as well :)

The scores are close! Arin gets a good shot in at the end though, helping him to get a tiny bit more.

Lots of shopping ahead :) good accurate depiction of the inventory management involved in this game.
Ah cool... I never knew the Saturn font was based on Itoi's daughter's childhood handwriting.

They graciously skip over the 3 minute password wait thing and go into the factory. It's kind of like the Duncan Factory in EarthBound Beginnings/Zero but probably a lot less confusing.

Arin and Danny put some lyrics to the map screen theme. You know what? The map theme reminds me of the Donkey Kong Country 2 title screen theme...
Yay! They finally get the lantern! That took a bit of thinking and skill and persistence. Also, the pointless ladder would make you want to explore the attic! Of course, it doesn't have solid ground to walk on...
Later they're in the desert. It's actually kind of a good atmosphere here. It even looks better than say, Super Star Wars... egad... I'm warming up to this game!

Suzy and Cory play this endless runner Sonic game sequel! I played the first one but eventually gave up on it because it kept crashing and losing all my progress. Oh well!
Yeah I remember the Costume Quest 2 series which also had Cory... one of the first things I blogged about here!
Looks like Cory's been playing quite a bit already. 14,807 rings he has collected.

GRUMP'S DREAM COURSE PART 19 - INSIDE HE'S BROODING

Arin and Danny discuss Owen Wilson impressions! I don't recognise it as an Owen Wilson-ism though it's been a long time since I've seen an Owen Wilson movie.
In the last stage it's the final chance for Danny to take the lead back and win!
What happens though is Arin miscalculates and they end up drawing overall! D'oh!
Arin's dancing happily but inside he's brooding... Aw!
What are the next 150 stages? What courses are left?

Barry and Ross investigate the newly opened spooky cavern, but not without their teddy bear!
They find a Skip Sandwich in a coffin. Nice edit of Jesus popping out to hand it to them!
They face a little blob of a boss and it looks diminutive but quite formidable. They eventually reach Saturn Valley, a name familiar to Ross but he can't quite put his finger on it... until he sees the Mr. Saturns! Smash... Temmie Village... everything makes sense now. As much it can make sense in a place like this.

GRUMP'S DREAM COURSE PART 18 - ARIN'S TABLE TURNING

Arin and Danny try to figure out how to take out a trickily placed enemy. They eventually get it!
It's funny how they're supportive of one another until the hole appears then it's all "mmmmmmiss it! mmmmmmiss it!"
Oh my gosh... those Gordos are troublesome!
They both think of a Rock joke at the same time! Great minds! :)
Arin turns the tables in a big way! Danny tries to get some of it back but eventually just decides to call it by sinking the ball. They're pretty close!

Barry and Ross get up a cliff in the cave with help from the bubble gum monkey.
They get out and the monkey finds a monkey girlfriend, so he runs off.
They pass by Stonehenge and to Dr. Andonuts' laboratory. Ah, so he's an absentee dad... Kind of sad and the conversation has awkwardness, but he seems like a good guy.
Ross said that he looks familiar and recognises him from Toby Fox's romhack. I thought for a moment he was gonna say Contact for the DS!
They fly up in the Sky Runner and sing a variation of "A Whole New World" while they fly over places they haven't been to yet before crashing into Splot and Pallf's prison.
They get Dick equipped with a hard hat and a copper bracelet, while giggling :)
After preparing, they go to the tent to the south and it becomes a mimic tent! Just like Ross' Dungeons & Dragons story! They beat it handily enough and get a Jar Of Fly Honey.
Then Apple Kid rings with news of his fly paper invention! Nicely done :) it is funny to see the zombies stuck to the floor inside.

They go into a pitch dark house with a key and a bat... man bat thing. They eventually beat it and try to collect the key at the top but it proves tough without something to light up the room.
Heh "CD ROMs attacked to sticks" :P maybe they're CD-i games!
This game is just so much work for them. All that pain to find a lamp and get enough rupees for stuff. Hardships like the original Zelda but magnified by the slow movement and everything.
They go back to the armadillo dodongo thing and defeat it with the bombs! Woo! The background markings are platforms though and the keese bat keeps coming back and aaargh... so much work. At least they feel some bit good about it when they get out with the key!
Arin says it's really hard, not difficulty wise but to just to play it basically. Hard as in painful. Danny says it's hard to watch but I'd go further and say it is horrifying! I think I'll laugh lots but out of exasperation! Sharing the pain!
Again, the cutscenes are something else with the melty faces and extreme close ups. Yeesh!

The next level is full of spikes and spiky Gordos... Poor Arin gets spiked all around the place.

Danny does well in this one due to his suck strategy and the spikes helping him a lot! Arin's quite good humoured about it too!
